All this talk of food makes me hungary. I think I will order one of those watches made of cheese.

Could it be China, Switzerland? Just down the road from Geneva?

:)tbtk1 and welcome to the Original Invicta Forum. Just when we thought this thread had expired due to overwork, you brought it back. Actually, all of the threads are active unless they are locked by the administrators. The most recent topics are always on the first or homepage of the forum. Are you an Invicta collector? If so, please show us some of your watches when you get a chance.

Alright buddybear, enough. We don't want any new members succumbing to calcium overdoses. ;D

I can see now see how Eyal slips one by now. The Federation is too caught up in counting the holes in the Swiss Cheese watches to make sure they are authentic. I for one, would be insulted if they tried to pawn off Baby Swiss as the real thing because although it says "Swiss" in the name, it is not the same quality. ;D I read a recent article that stated it would take about 9 years to get the new rules through the EU. So Eyal and others can continue to say Swiss Made for awhile yet.

Hi all, just finished reading eight pages of this thread. I read every comment including a few flames. Some very good questions and even some good answers. It seems the thread took on a life of it's own that even raised more questions. I pondered all of this for a while searching for what could I say or ask that would be in step with all that had been stated. And yes, I did come up with a question...... ....WHAT?

Ok, I will tread lightly with this post so as not to start another tirade. All I want to say is I started collecting and selling Invicta watches for their unique design and great value for the dollar. For the most part my collection of watches have the word Swiss on them and I really don’t care if the parts are Swiss and they are assembled in another country. If it’s a design I like and it keeps accurate time then I am happy. What makes me even happier is the fact that I have never had any service issues with a single Invicta that I own. I also own Invictas with Japanese movements and I have been very pleased with those watches as well. Its all about the enjoyment you get out of collecting watches and having others admire what you have on your wrist. I get a big thrill out of someone admiring my watch and asking where I purchase it. I was at a clothing store once and had an individual walk up to me from across the store to ask me about my Ocean Ghost 7013, that’s what it all about for me! Here in Canada there are no Invicta retailers (other than Costco and in very limited numbers, one or two models at most) or shopping channels that sell Invicta watches. For the most part people in Canada have never heard of Invicta other than those that are in the industry. I have a friend in Vancouver that I gave the bug to after he saw some of my watches and he is now hooked. He proudly displays his Vortice and absolutely loves the attention that it draws. And I can tell you he has many high end watches like Cartier and Breitling (his income is slightly higher than mine) but still wears the Vortice more than any watch he owns. In my opinion its what ever makes your thing ping and if its Invicta watches, great. That’s what floats my boat, so I will go on loving my collection of Invictas and in all likelihood keep on buying more.
