Well, I bascially have the same two watches, having both the 16613 and the 16600. You're right the look and function of both is VERY different. It's not at all like owning two of the same watch, if that's what you're concerned about. The 16613 is MUCH more of a dress watch, while the Sub/Dweller is a tough watch that you won't mind wearing in situations that would really scratch up the links on a 16613. Go for it! Glad you like the site! Best, John

So get both. Use the SS as your daily 'beater' and the TT as your dress watch.

Thanks for the input. I keep going all over the place here. I have wanted the TT Blue forever, but I have also liked the Exp II. white and black dial, also like the GMT. The YM has never done anything for me. I would really love to have the 24 hr. hand function.
The only things making me think about the TT Sub, is that it's kind of flashy, I don't mean this in a negative way, hell, I love the watch. I guess I don't know how often I would wear it. We just went to Business Casual Dockers and golf shirts after 14 yrs of suits. A blue tt seems like it would be too much? How did you guys decide?

The TT Sub is quite versatile...it would most certainly look good in a Business Casual work place. Of course, I still wear a suit at least 3 days a week, which is when the Sub gets the most use. If you're thinking about a GMT, stay tuned to an important announcement that may give you a good opportunity to get one. John

Well obviously the black ExpII is the ultimate Rolex sports watch, so my vote would be for you to get one immediately as it's the perfect blend between sport/dress with the functionality of a second time zone. Get one, get one NOW!

Two thing, John, now you have me really guessing at what you are really trying to say by "stay tuned". I hate waiting Mike S. what should I look for regarding the size? Thanks

in my opinion want a 40mm or larger watch! The sub is right at that size and the GMTII is as well. I am not sure on the explorer but i know the datejust is a smaller watch!John will know though h owns almost every rolex! Well not all but alot!

Thanks, I agree, must be 40 mm.
I have this bad feeling i will end up with the TT Sub and the Exp II. However I still need to get an Omega SMP with that bright blue dial. Heck I could get the Exp II and the Omega for less that the TT. How much you want to bet in 2 years I would end up with all three.

Its a sickness, I tell ya'.........a few months ago I was happy with my Tissot and my Tag 2000....now I own a GMT II and and have an SMP on the way, and I love those watches....even have my name on 2 different "wait" lists for a Kermit sub....there's just too much candy in the candy store! I think that the Exp II in white and the SMP in blue would be a good, more cost effective move, now. The TT Sub can always come later! And, there will be no betting on my part...you certainly will figure out a way to have all 3 within 2 years!
