Ok, just got back from the dealer, tried on the ExpII, not bad but I like a bigger watch. Tried the TT Blue sub on again, gosh I love this watch. I keep telling myself it's too flashy. Well, I also saw a FS Yachtmaster, I though it was very nice, I never saw one in person. It might be the compromise? That sick feeling of whatever I buy, I won't be happy until the Blue sub comes home with me is coming back. Time to table this for a month or so.

For me the TT Sub in blue or black is too 'bling' for my tastes, plus I'm not a fan of yellow gold on a man's watch.
That's why I firmly believe the Rolesium Yachtmaster is the perfect, understated bling Rolex. The satin/polished look of the bracelet and case/bezel are flashy, but not too flashy. Plus, it's got the same depth ability as a SS sub because of the triplock crown, but it isn't advertised by Rolex as such.
IMHO the YM is a better buy than a TT Sub.
(awaiting the flaming from TT Sub fans) ;D

I thought "Rolesium" was Rolex basically calls a two tone watch (not to be confused with "gold plated" which is why they call it "Rolesium"). Are you sure that the Triplock crown makes the Yahty 300m water resistant? I think it takes more than the crown to get that level of water resistance. John

Hey John, I believe 'Rolesium' is the word Rolex invented for the two metals, stainless steel and platinum on one watch. The word 'Rolesor' I beleive, is what they use to describe combined YG and SS watches. A YM is basically a Sub date without the diving extention. I believe the triplock is THE difference in depth rating because the method in which Rolex seal the crystals and case backs are identical throughout the oyster line. The crown is the only difference. As for Rolex selling more TT subs than Yachty's, being popular never meant something was 'correct'. Just my humble opinion. YG on watches ain't my ting, mon.

I always get "Rolexium" confused with "Rolesor" - good luck finding them on the Periodic Table..... ;D Gotcha! I learn something new every day! John
