Launched in 1999, the Omega Co-Axial calibre 2500 was introduced to the world initially, in three limited edition individually-numbered models of which 1,000 were in red gold, a further 1,000 in yellow gold and 100 in platinum. The world’s first movement to feature a Co-Axial escapement has been heralded as one of the century’s major inventions in mechanical watches. With its’ design inspired by the Central Tourbillion watch, the merit of this high precision chronometer is the long-term stability of its regulating system. Notable features of this watch include the circular-grained Geneva waves, twelve-sided dial with a 0.5mm raised central zone, domed applied Roman numerals at quarter hours, fitted faceted hour markers with integral Superlite dots and luminous skeleton leaf-shaped hands. The screw-on back is engraved with the De Ville medallion, the legend bearing the words “ Co-Axial Escapement ” and the limited edition numbering. OMEGA SEAMASTER AMERICA'S CUP LIMITED EDITION
A stalwart for years, in 2007 the 1120 calibre Omega Seamaster Professional bows out in favour of its' younger Co-Axial siblings.
This is the America's Cup Limited Edition of 2000 produced in a numbered series. The 1120 movement is enhanced with circular graining and decorated with Geneva Waves and a rhodium-plated finish. Officially-certified to chronometer standards, the case in company with other SMPs is water-resistant to 300meters and fitted with a unidirectional rotating bezel featuring an 18k white gold ring with raised hour markers. Individually-numbered on the caseback with the legend Limited Edition engraved on the right hand lug, the America's Cup logo is featured against the familiar black wave pattern on the dial, the luminescent sword hands and large hour markers which made its' sister model, the 2254.50, such a popular companion to many divers worldwide. Part of a limited series of just twenty-one pieces and presented on a hand-sewn alligator strap, this Speedmaster Broad Arrow has been given an intricately-skeletonised Omega Calibre 3221 self-winding chronometer movement possessing circular graining with decorative Geneva Waves and rhodium-plated surfaces. The accent on luxury is enhanced by gold-plated engravings and a platinum rotor with 18 carat gold medallion. The cut-away dial reveals the skeletonised movement housed in an exclusive platinum case with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, the inside of which has an anti-reflective treatment. The matt black dial with its' triangular hour markers has arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, all of which are in Super Luminova. The facetted Dauphine hour and minute hands additionally have wide luminuous inserts. A simple polished steel bezel holding in place a domed, scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal maintains the striking appearance of the watch. The Constellation Chronometer reference 1202.30 represents the range of the 96 Constellation, the gold and stainless steel case and bracelet of which bear rounder lines and a softer shape to previous models. The OMEGA Speedmaster model reference 3518.50.00 was issued in a limited edition of 6,000 pieces to commemorate Michael Schumacher’s first world driver’s championship for Ferrari in the year 2000. 4,000 units had a black dial while the remaining 2,000, reference 3517.50.00 came with a white dial. Based on the Speedmaster “ Reduced ” model and powered by a self-winding OMEGA calibre 3220 movement with rhodium-plated finish, it offered a power reserve of 40 hours. The carbon dial featured red and orange chequered flag markings around the edge and the word “Racing” above the hour sub dial at 6 o’clock. Its’ caseback is engraved with the 7-time world champion’s name and signature in company with the edition number and legend bearing the title “ World Champion 2000 ”.

This unique diver chronograph was developed jointly with the crew who were double winners of the America’s Cup, Team New Zealand. The chronometer-certified self-winding OMEGA calibre 3602 movement offering a power reserve of 40 hours is housed in a large case measuring 44m in diameter and available in either stainless steel or titanium. It has a screw-in case back and is secure to a depth of 300m. The unidirectional turning bezel has a ring of steel, brushed on the titanium model and black on the steel version. For instant and perfect visibility in conditions of low light, the black dial has large applied luminous hour markers, quarter second graduations, skeleton hour and minute hands with Super Luminova inserts. The central chronograph seconds hand is red with a luminous point. The hands of the chronograph totalisers are red with hour and minute subdials located at the six and nine o’clock positions respectively. Of special interest is the regatta start timer which comprises of a semicircle of five dots which change colour at five minute intervals to indicate the time elapsed between the warning signals and the start of the regatta.
The OMEGA Seamaster America’s Cup Racing Chronograph is available in three models, titanium case and bracelet and titanium or steel case and rubber strap.

No 8 - June 22 2007 OMEGA SEAMASTER NZL-32 CHRONOGRAPH Created in honour of it’s association with Emirates Team New Zealand and to commemorate it’s role as the team’s official watch, OMEGA presents the Seamaster NZL-32 chronograph which is named after the boat affectionately called “Black Magic” which won The America’s Cup in 1995. A high-precision instrument designed to facilitate regatta timing, it is a tour de force of elegance and functionality, capable of timing performance to one-eighth of a second.  Particular attention has been pad to the key needs of a boat’s skipper in the event of regatta timing with the “start of the regatta” function clearly indicating the ten minutes which precede the starting signal by means of a special five-dot indicator. The dots gradually fill with a different colour, first blue, then red, as each successive five-minute period elapses. The accuracy of a regatta timer cannot be overestimated as a boat has to arrive at the starting line on time. Arrive too early and it will be penalised thus negating months and years of hard work and preparation. The 42.2mm silver and black dial has applied, facetted hour markers, with luminous dot. A recessed black counter with a silver surround at 3 o’clock gives a clear overview of the total minutes that have elapsed, with blue and red markings to indicate the two five-minute periods leading up to the starting signal. The smaller hour counter is situated at 12 o’clock while a discreet small seconds counter is at 9 o’clock. The skeleton hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova, and the hands of the chronograph counters are red. The polished and brushed stainless steel case of the NZL-32 has the distinctive shape and characteristic horns of the Seamaster line. The push buttons are on the left at 8 and 10 o’clock, giving the chronograph a balanced, harmonious appearance.  A seahorse, which is the symbol of the Seamaster collection, is stamped on the case back. The case has a screw-in back and crown, ensuring water resistance to a depth of 150 metres / 500 feet. Introduced at Baselworld in 2006, the Planet Ocean Co-Axial Chronograph is the second-generation in the successful Planet Ocean series and was intended as the most resistant chronograph in the OMEGA collection coupled with being a high-performance diving instrument.
Exclusive to the watch is the self-winding, COSC-certified OMEGA calibre 3313 movement with Co-Axial escapement and column wheel chronograph mechanism and offers a 55 hour power reserve. It’s 45.5mm case of brushed and polished stainless steel has its’ chronograph buttons decorated with either black or orange aluminium rings and is depth-rated to 600m/2000ft.
