Has anyone else noticed it but you? Me... only once and that was at a supermarket checkout. The guy waiting across the aisle with his shopping trolley called out to me..." Nice Speedmaster ". I was mighty pleased naturally, chatted briefly amidst bagging my groceries and gave him our URL. He was wearing one of those flashy Italian things. How 'bout you guys? Anyone stopped you mid-step and admired your watch? Y'all have a nice day now ZIN Not usually shaken nor stirred ;D ;D ;D

Only once. I was in a meeting (telling off) with my manager when he saw my watch and said that it was really nice and was it expensive? It wasn't my Omega though, just my Pulsar beater. Actually, there was one other occasion when someone noticed my watch. I was stood outside an AD in the White Rose Centre in Leeds wearing my green Alpha Sub. The dealer must have caught a glimpse of the bezel, thought Rolex, and came rushing out of the store to ask was I ok and did I need any help? I genuinely think had I been wearing my SMP or the Pulsar he wouldn't have moved an inch. But other than that no one has ever noticed, or at least mentioned it to me, my Omega. And sometimes that's not a bad thing. There are certain places where you would rather blend in than stand out.

The Blue SMP has been noticed a couple of times but not recognized as an Omega. The Speedy seems to fly under the radar. I think if folks aren't interested in watches that they'd never even take notice. Mike

Only once also. I was in Atlanta this June, at a liquor store, and the customer behind me saw my Bond and said "nice watch". He said he had just bought the orange-strapped PO. I said that is a nice watch also, but too big for my little wrist. I've had more comments on my yellow-face Sieko diver than my Omegas. Oh well, what do they know?

It doesn't bother me that folk in the street do not notice what I have. In fact I probably feel a little more secure that way. It's just nice to bump into other WISes occasionally. Indeed I think only one or two of my friends ever bother to keep a lookout for what I'm wearing..... on my wrist I mean. I naturally, sneak a peek at whatever is on theirs. Be well pals ZIN Not usually shaken nor stirred ;D ;D ;D

The only watch which has gotten comments is this one and nearly always from ladies. I've gotten far fewer comments since I've been married. My theory is that it is big, obviously red gold and unusual -- and on a hand without a ring. Not to imply mercenary intent from the fairer sex . . .

For me, it is not in public; but, usually when I visit companies on business that it gets noticed.

Nice thread Zinster.... Omega's seem to be ''undercover'' watches, hardly anyone made a comment about my Omega's. And when they did none of them asked me if they where ''real'' They only admired it... The first day I wore my Sub someone asked me if it was real....

I can count on one hand the number of times anyone has commented on my watch....and I've worn many, many different kinds of watches.
