No right or wrong in these discussions I bet the blooo Smurfster will disagree on that.. I can hear him now - "There's only one right way par'dner, and it's the Omega-way!" ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

But kidding aside, you're absolutely right wauters sir... The 'right'' one usually comes down to personal tastes.... A feature you don't use or care about isn't worth much no matter how well done it is....

Hi GJ,
I personally think that there are other marques out there that give similar quality at a similar price point. Tag Heuer, Breitling, Maurice Lacroix and Longines spring to mind.
However, I do not believe there is any watch brand out there at Omegas price point (so we are not including Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe, Breguet, etc here) that can offer the history that Omega has. This, along with the Co-Axial movement and the fact that Omega is now a bona fide Manufacture, makes Omega THE watch brand for the everyman.
I love the two Omegas that I own and I can't imagine that a Patek Philippe could offer me that much more of a feeling for the timepiece to reflect the extra cost.
I have a very long wish list of watches and there are more Omegas on there than any other brand. I think this speaks volumes. Probably even more than the rest of my waffle above.
Rick.

Hey Rick I think you said it all buddy. I believe Omega offers a watch at just about every price point that is matched by a given desirable level of quality. You can go way beyond the exclusive scale too but you don't have to. If I were minded, Omega has a watch that suits every aspect of my wardrobe, lifestyle, needs or moods. Be well pal and say hello to your missus for me ZIN Not usually shaken nor stirred ;D ;D ;D
