A warm welcome to WTF Jerome and indeed to the Omega Army Congratulations on your PO and do please post pictures when you have an opportunity. We'll be more than happy to assist you in that regard if required. In the meantime, do have a look around. You'll find the resources pages on interest as well as John Holbrook II's reference pages, the links of which may be located near the foot of the home page. Best wishes ZIN

Hey all,
Has anyone heard that DC will actually wear 2 models in CR? From my local AD's mouth: The Omega rep was in the store for a promo and was telling them that they were able to get some of the "inside scoop" of the movie and that DC will start off wearing one model, and during the course of the movie be given his"00" watch for the first time. Apparently the movie will be the predecessor story of Bond when he first started. If so, that may explain why both the SMP & PO are being seen....
* I make no claim or warranty, either expressed, implied or assumed about the accuracy, truth, reliability, or possible embellishment of the above information. If it's wrong, oh well.. (after all - it IS gossip from the AD!!)
Regards!
Scott

Check this link out & pay special attention to the bottom part of the page. forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=1925722&rid=0"A legend in its own right, the OMEGA Seamaster 300 M Diver Chronometer is worn in Casino Royale by the most recent screen incarnation of author Ian Fleming’s stylish gentleman spy, British actor Daniel Craig. Casino Royale is due in theatres November 17, 2006. Thanks. Jorge. Source: Omega" Also, as I was browsing I found this. Doesn't that look like a SMP!

Good info...
I suspect once the movie is out, we'll have many people watching it twice.. Once for the movie & once to keep an eye in the watch!! ;D

It really would be full circle if the SMP was used an no change was made, even though DC has been photographed on numerous occasions wearing (what uncannily looks like) a PO.
Kind regards
Jonathan

Incidentially I have just e-mailed Omega right now for an update to see if they can shed any light, but I'm not expecting to get much change out of them to be honest.
Will keep everyone posted though.

Hello everybody and thank you for your warm welcome, I also asked the official Omega retailer in Cannes, France, and he gave me the same reply as the one which was given to Scott : 1 PO at the beginning of the movie, 1 SMP at the middle. The retailer faxed me a brochure which shows "The Diver Bond Co-axial", Gents' 41MM, Mid-size 36.25 MM. I can't copy all the brochure here and the fax is in very bad shape. The calibre is 2500. 4 watches pics are given : 2 mid-size (2222.80.00 steel bracelet, 2922.80.91 blue rubber strap), and 2 Gents' size (2220.80.00 steel bracelet, 2920.80.91 blue rubber strap). The fax is B&W and not good but the watches seem great. As far as I can tell from this fax, one of the outer differences with the "old" 2531 is that theSeamaster name is highlighted in red.
I have been told by another retailer last friday that these watches may be available in october. I can't wait ! I have a brand new NOS G757 horseshoe SEIKO from Octopussy and may be tempted to sell it for buying the new SMP ! (retail price is 3100 euros).
A last thing : I have a seemingly official teaser poster, and the watch at the wrist of DC seems to be a SMP, not the watch seen on the japanese poster from Jorge : what a mess !!! What is Omega aim in this confusion ? Anyway, it is part of the game to tease poor little Omega addicted like us :-)
Greetings to all of you guys,
Jérôme

Hey, all right!!!! 2 gossips make a fact, right?!?!?!?!
I tell you thing Omega has done with the confusion.. They have certainly gotten people to talk about their watches!!! Maybe there is a method to the madness.....

It would be nice to know at least wouldn't it guys! I mean with Casino Royale it seems as though everything has been uncovered about the film, apart from what he'll be wearing on his wrist.
It would seem a little strange if rumour presented itself that DC (as young BLONDE! Bond) started off with PO and then halfway through the film this was changed or Upgraded to his original SMP??? Lots of confusion all over the place but how can Omega not put the fire out when we quite clearly see teaser posters of DC wearing a SMP and then still shots from the film with him wearing a PO???
If Pierce Brosan would've reprised his role bets off on what he'd of been wearing! ;D
Best regards
Jonathan

Hey Jonathan,
While the SMP may be a downgrade from the PO in our minds and by the watch we can get our hands on (I said "may" here - don't yell at me if you disagree!!) the SMP that "Q" makes is definitely an upgrade from a "regular old" PO...
I'd sell everything in my collection if it meant I could have the true real-life working "Q"-designed SMP model fully loaded with all options!!! That's better than Batman's utility belt!!! ;D

I'll drink to that Scott! When my Bond SMP goes in for service (in another 3-4 years) maybe I'll request that Q does the service! Know what I mean All the best Jonathan

Hot women come and go in Bond's life, as do the cars. With the Q designed watch, I'm thinking along the lines of some sort of world domination! lol
