i noticed this morning an old freind, my SKX 175 Seiko diver stopped running. despite my best efforts apparently it had stopped ticking at 10:09:45 this morning(what a time to quit) guess it will have to go to the watchmaker and see if it can be revivied. it's just about ten years old and has been an almost flawless timekeeper whilst making better than 300+ dives in muddy Texas lakes and Carribean blue water. here it is last year after a dive in the Carribean, better days maybe it can be saved, it's up to the watchmaker now... diver88

Sad to hear. A completely new movement can be had for not much $$$, though.

Do whatever it takes. You can't replace the dings and scratches of experience with a new watch.

$29 for a new 7S26 movement to be exact (not including labor to swap movements). Foggy, what medication do I have to take to think like you? ;D I dream of replacing perfectly good watches just to get rid of the dings, and you wish to preserve your dings!

completely serviced, new seals, repaired, and pressure tested $69. diver88 And That is yet another excellent reason to buy these great watches in the first place - good looking, reliable, rugged, and affordable to maintain. My Tag diver's needs a service (new seals etc) - I have to save up to afford it Ok so it's done over 10 years without any care or attention, worn almost every day. It doesn't help there's only 1 AD in the whole city so they can charge what they want if you want any 'authorised' work done..... Anyway, great to see your faithful Seiko is back online.

Mey Muttley, You know you can send the Tag back to LVMH in NJ without the dealer, or his mark-up..... I've sent one back there directly and they'll give you the quote first, send it back if you don't want it done & if you do service & send back. Turnaround (for me) has been 2 weeks or less serviced).. And it's cheaper than some dealers.

Thanks for the tip Scot, but it's a heck of a long way to send it to save some money - I'll just bite the bullet & keep it in the country cheers.
