I've always craved a "President" style watch but found most of them too small (37mm). This one is 42mm, powered by an ETA 2834, comes on a beautiful bracelet + an alligator strap + a free winder. I ordered the brown. Anybody else take the plunge for this one?

I'm in for one of the silver dial models. I like the blue outlined hands and numerals, but will be exchanging the tan strap for a black one.

I was wondering when I saw this if the SWI limited edition is being made by Jacques Lemans. If you look on the W.O.W. website, you can see the similarities with a few of their models. Regardless, this is a nice pickup!

The JL is very similar but it's listed at 41mm and doesn't look like it has the coin edge on the bezel. But I figured that's who makes it for SWI.

Great watches guys - and you got a killer deal, larry. I've had one for about a year. I paid $100 more without all the extras and don't regret it one bit. It is truly a stunning watch with incredible fit and finish. Worth every dime! Enjoy. I'll be interested to hear your reaction. Here's mine:

That's the same model I ordered, so your shot will serve as a reminder until mine arrives. If you don't mind me asking, did you do your own bracelet sizing? If so, did you find it challenging or pretty straight forward? I understand it uses screws on either side of the links instead of a friction pin.

That is a very nice watch. Does anyone have the company's website and/or more information on the watch? Mabye a Boscoe daily watch update/information post?

I was very interested, however I took a close look at my Gemini and I thought it would take wrist time from it because they could be cousins. - Same style hands - Same type of "internal bezel" tachy on Gemini, minutes on SWI - Same type of lugs - Clone? It is a great looking watch...I just didn't need two that looked alike even if I did get another color.

The dial pattern is very similar, but not identical. I think the SWI is a little more finely finished. But that's not really fair since I know the SWI in real life and am judging the Acutron via photo, which is frequently deceptive.

Not to take away from the Acutron above, but the SWI is not a clone. While I haven't fondled that particular Acutron, I have looked at Bulovas at various price ranges. None compare to the quality found in the SWI Limited Edition, which is truly an exceptional watch - particularly at the price. The bracelet alone is nearly as good as the wonderful offerings on my Clercs. Not quite, but still exceptional. The decoration on the movement is exceptional (still short of Clerc) and the over-all fit and finish is truly wonderful. This is one of the few times I agree that a watch outshines competitors that cost two or three times more. Here are some more photos.

larry: I did, indeed, size it myself. You need two jewelers screw drivers to do it.
