Nope, it never will. I have been tempted to pick up a vintage 1950s Navitimer, however. Not quite so busy and with some history (and a better price). I agree with you. The old Navitimer's are one of the few vintage watches that actually look nice and even somewhat modern. Some of the old Omega's and Breitlings frankly make me want to vomit they are so ugly. I'd love to have a vintage Navitimer.

direction and i am going to buy outside the Rolex group and have one different watch from each major brand! Can you say a Breitling is in the future! I like Mike's idea of having a watch example from each major brand. That makes a nice sampling of different watches. Karl

I've taken the approach that I'm going to focus on two brands - Rolex and Omega. There's a ton of other watch brands out there that I could collect, but I like the idea of focusing a bit. John

Those are John's most very favorite shoes BTW. I've been trying to get him in to a pair, but he keeps resisting. ;D

John Well, it is expensive, but the way around that is just to not get 4 watches of 1 brand (I know, I'll soon have 4 Breitlings). You can just get a little thinner, broader collection. I still have Panerai, and Ulysse Nardin on my (somewhat) short list. Your collection doesn't have to look like this (I forget who's pic this is)

The short list is pretty much self perpetuating. Just when I think I've taken care of the stuff on the list, I find more watches to add to it.
