The other thing I would like to know is how do you keep your watches in such good condition.I am very cautious with my Seamaster and already I have noted a small scratch on the bracelet. Cheers Aaron

Cheers Aaron The Seamaster's are bad for scratching though, especially the clasp. But the sub for some reason seems to do much better with taking a little beating.

Has it got any thing to do with the type of stainless steel used?

Has it got any thing to do with the type of stainless steel used? No...it has more to do with the finish applied to the surface, and it's texture. In truth, both are equally prone to scratching, but Seamasters tend to show their scratches more. The clasp of the Seamaster is a scratch magnet because it's large, flat surface in a high-wear position on the watch. The good news is the scratches are easily removed on the clasp. John

I know what you mean.I have tried your trick with the pads and it works a treat on the clasp. The bracelet is the problem.I got the scratches out this time but I do not want to be taking to my bracelet all the time with scrubbing pads. The other thing is that Iam very particular with my watches and I would say they are pristine. Cheers Aaron
