Very nice! I saw a white dialed UN diver in Vega in June that was similar. Sort of reminded me of a Yahtmaster. Great bracelet and HIGHLY polished (read scratch magnet... ) My buddy who's registerd here but never posts (John Rigano) was/is close to buying one...his mood shifts daily on what his next new watch will be. ;D John

I realize that, but like the GMT II enough to deal with the weight difference.
BTW, thanks for all the articles on your web site. I have enjoyed them all.

I'm pleased you got some value from my work. Keep an eye out on my web sites - I've got another couple of weeks work to the discussion forums, and both Reference Page sites, but after that I'll be able to focus on generating content again - articles and photos. I want to make an adendum. My next will likely be a Glashutte. Got a line on one.

Actually, my mistake, not a Glashutte Original, but a Union Glashutte. I'm not big on gold watches, so I'm looking at either a Diplomat Panorama Date or a Classic Panorama Date. Can't decide if I like SS on white dial with batons vs SS on white dial with SS arabics and gold hands. Suggestions? www.union-glashuette.com/

I tried to convince my publisher at IW watch to get one for me to review, but Union isn't ready to make a big push in the US this year so they declined our offer to review one of their watches. They use the same movements Glashuuette Original is using but with a lower level of finishing applied. Great value! John

Alright! Clearance from the tower! So when are you pulling the trigger? AP is a VERY well respected brand, and the T3 is a huge watch. I tried on some AP's in Las Vegas in June and they just didn't do anything for me...Sorry! Have you seen any in person? John

Chronoswiss Opus will hopefully be my next purchase! Very cool - can you get a good deal where you work or is going grey market/used a more attractive option? John

;D The great news is, we are about to become an authorized Chronoswiss dealer any day. Not sure what type of a deal I will be able to get - hopefully I will be able to buy directly from Chronoswiss. I ahve been wanting one for some time and the price keeps climbing skyward! I will have to sell a lot of watches this holiday season! ;D

I bought an Invicta from you through Swisssource.com a few years ago. Great deal and great watch. When do you work? I would like to meet you sometime. Also, I would love to the Chronoswiss watches in person. They appear to be top notch, and with a price tag to match. Luke Mayes

John, funny you should say the Union Glashutte is a lower end finish than the Glashutte Original. Basically the GO is an almost completely hand-finished watch while a UG is hand finished by machine, as a Rolex would be.
So we're still talking an extremely good finish for a fraction of the price of a Rolex WITH a GO movement. As you said, an incredible 'value' watch.
