My GMT (which is barely over 12 months old) generally ran at -3 secs per day, but when kept fully wound by topping up with manual winding went to about -1 a day. Until this week It then started losing 7 seconds a day (fully wound, as before). Last night I stored it 'vertically' and it lost 10 seconds overnight So today it was delivered to the AD and off to to Omega. It MAY be back before Christmas, they said. I won't hold my breath. In the meantime, I'm reverting to my Grovana.. which runs within COSC, by the way! (just, at +5/6 secs a day)

Thanks for the compliments on the 'replacement' which perhaps shouldn't feature too much on this sub-forum; but here's a pic of the Grovana on its steel bracelet, and to counterbalance this a photo of the GMT which I presume will be waking up in Switzerland on Monday morning.. Lucky watch !

It definitely appears that something has changed within your watch. Hopefully all it needs is regulation.
In any event remember that the age of the watch does not commence upon the date of purchase. I purchased my GW 2538.20 new from an AD on June 4, 2007 but the COSC test is dated Feb. 11, 2005. Why the difference? Because my AD purchased several when they were discontinued anticipating future demand.
Hope all goes well.
