I was wondering how succesful you guys are when it comes to communication with Omega customer service. I sent them a first email last Thursday to inquire on the procedure to obtain the COSC certificate for my 2254. I sent the email to the aftersales address to the care of Maria Mastrodonato. On Monday, I didn't have any reply back, so I sent another email to the same address. No reply. Yesterday, I used the Omega website to send them a new request. I think for any business, 5 days to reply to a customer request is plenty of time. I hope I'll get a reply but the end of the week. If any of you has a specific email, not a group one, for someone in Bienne, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Marc

I wouldn't be too hasty about casting doubts on them Marc. The service which if I'm correct is unique in the industry and is free after all. COSC requests are only one item that their customer service dept deals with. It will come. Mr Kwlok reported in one of the updated threads today that he had sent off for information about a watch and received their reply with all the information he required. Be well now ZIN Not usually shaken nor stirred ;D ;D ;D

Marc, I never actually got a receipt of my e-mail. The COSC certificate arrived after about 3 weeks. Mike

Ok, if it took you a week Diver, I should have news from them before Friday. I know the certificate are a bonus, so I'm in no rush. Just like a kid who is waiting for a gift.
It would be worse if I was waiting for them to repair my watch.
I'm really satisfied with the watch so far. It runs at less than one second variation per day, it's comfortable and easy to read. Did I say it's also pretty good looking!

Symtech: How did you contact Omega? Via website, general e-mail? Just curious.
As for me, I requested a 2007 catalog and it took m o n t h s, and it came from the New Jersey office. Not saying your certificate will be that long; but, after hearing everyone on the other thread, and this one, it may take some time. BTW, I never receieved a confirmation email either.

timefinderI sent 2 email to aftersales@omega and one using the website. I feel better knowing that it's not only happening to me. I sent them a picture of all my warranty cards and my home address. I guess I only have to sit and wait. I had the same issue with the catalog, I ordered 4 times thru the website and never received one. I went to a AD when I was visiting Paris and I got one there.

Symtech:
My guess, and this is only a guess, is that the internet traffic is not being monitored well, or they have a glitch. Have you tried mailing them copies of everything and certifying it (Not sure what is called in your country.) to ensure they receive the paperwork? And at the same time, you can request a catalog as well.
Just an idea...

Hmmm...
I like this idea.
I got my PO second-hand, from the AD. It did not have the usual 'credit cards' with it, but I have the receipt from the AD, and can provide the serial number as well, of course.
Do you think I could get my 'diploma' too? It would be nice to have, particularly considering I don't have anything else for the watch but the sales receipt (and box and book, AFTER I asked for them).
Thoughts?

If they need a proof of authenticity of the watch, your receipt should be good enough. If it's coming from an AD, that's even stronger. Send them an email, we'll see if they reply to you before they reply to me.
I'm sure other expert would have something to add.

No e-mail access at the apartment here, but tomorrow from work I'll send it...
Now I need to round up the receipt to make a copy!
What the heck- the worst they can say is "NO". I've heard worse!
I'm excited to get it- I always felt like a bit of a step-child with a great new watch, but no 'papers' for it... This will be the end-all be-all of papers for a watch... You can't fake these!
I think my GMT from ~2001 is too old for them to have the paper, but I might as wll ask any way right?

I think they keep the records for 5 years. But ask for it, it's free, you'll see. Let us know...

Hey Guys,
The email address I have for Omega is AfterSales@omega.ch This address is the one I received communications from Omega,so it must be correct. ;D
In regards to the COSC, I didn't have any correspondence from them the certificate simply turned up.
I beleive they only keep records for 2 - 3 years, any older you may not get your certificate. For the proof all I needed was a digital photo emailed to the above address of my warranty card.
Cheers
