I owned a black/ black smp and it was a fantastic watch, if you choose this one you will be very happy. If you really want a sub but can't afford it, wait until you can. I have a seadweller now because I really wanted to own a rolex but bought the smp because I couldn't afford the rolex at the time. I lost money on the smp and should have just waited for the SD. Johns comparison sums it up pretty well. The smp is much easier to read during the day and night and the bracelet is better but the rolex is a beautiful looking watch and IMO keeps much better time.

The smp is much easier to read during the day and night What about the new LV maxidial? It's a great improvement on the bogstandard subdial, and I don't think the bracelet should be dismissed as being inferior. Many people eekewate weight or substantivityness with quality, but that snot so I don' think. The Rolex bracelet is a quality item, and I think the lack of weight in the design is deliberate, not to say intentional on the part of Rolex. spaz

Wait and buy the one you really want. They are both great watches. I went for the Rolex Sub. but will be getting an Omega SM GMT, after I pick up a TT Blue sub. I am sick.
