I find it annoying that Rolex web-site isn't better! Sure, it's a slick layout but it's not really informative is it? There are no prices, I can understand that, but there really should be a whole lot more about all the models, current and vintage! There is nothing about movements! It's like the Ferrari website without engine or handling spec's!!! (If you are the least bit interested in cars, take a look at http://www.ferrari.com)
Does anyone know of a really comprehensive site where this can be found?

If you know anything about Rolex the corporation, you shouldn't be surprised. They are not an organization that gives its customers information ad nauseum, nor are they a corporation to give specific details about movements, building materials or methods or anything else. My guess is they know the majority of Rolex owners aren't interested as WIS's are. Most owners are into the cache of owning a Rolex. Period. They know their market well. Look at their success and lack of change over the years (and lack of horological patents since about, say 1970).

I mst agree, I wuz lookin at it recently and I can only say what a totally underwhelming expeerince it wuz. By the time I'd finished trawling through it all I wuz sufferin' from infomation deprevation syndrome. It wuz an exercise in non experiential boredomness. i won't be going back there fur a long time unless the paint I've been watching has dried already.
