Hi guys, My first post. I'm considering a 225450, but I'm wondering if the black face and bezel SMP is available with a bezel with smaller numbers, like the Bond version has. Thank you

Welcome to the forum! In answer to your question, I believe that particular bezel insert design is unique to the Bond Seamaster. You won't find it available on other non-"Bond" Seamasters. Thank you Hi Steve, Welcome to the Seamaster Forum. To the best of my knowledge the bezel that comes with the watch is the only bezel available. There possibly is an aftermarket bezel out there but where I don't know.Of course you can individualize your watch by ordering another bezel as spare parts.I personally would leave it as it is. If you want to see some good photos of Seamasters please check out John's Seamaster Reference pages. Here is mine.

Gents, Thanks for your help. I love the look of the 225450 and thoroughly enjoyed John's review of the watch and his comparison to the Rolex Sub at www.rolexreferencepage.comI am pretty sure that it's the watch for me. It was a toss-up between the Omega and a no-date Sub. My brain is telling me Omega. You're paying a lot for the name "Rolex"...right?

Hi Steve - as a fan of both Omega and Rolex, and tell you there are pros and cons to each - with a higher price for admission definitely being a factor against Rolex, and to a lesser degree, Omega too. What I do not recommend is liking a watch, but buying another that is less expensive. This route is the most expensive because the desire for the more costly watch never goes away, and you end up buying it anyway.... John

I know what you mean! I started with an O&W Cougar eventhough I prefered the more expensive Sinn EZM3. I then bought the Sinn about two months later!!

The guys are right, the Black SMP only comes with the large font size on the bezel. Also if you want a Rolex buy a Rolex as you will see anything else as second best and still end up with a Rolex. I speak from experience as I first bought a Bond Seamaster, then a black seamaster and have just received a Sea dweller.

Have you been able to keep the other two Seamasters or did they have to be pensioned off.

Hi, That sounds like a nice collection.Even a sensible collection. It sounds almost like what I would like to have. The biggest problem is trying to work out how to wear so many fine watches. I would love to see apicture of the Tag.Ive had several Tags including a 1000.They are a very nice watch and always attract a lot of comments. Aaron
