A real bargain at Ebay. How I did it? I bet at the last 2 seconds. ;D What do you think? Honestly? I think it would have been nice for you to give some repeat business to John Rigano since he cut you such a great deal on a three watch winder a few months back. But, I do understand taking advantage of a good deal. What I am upset about is WUS Admin allowing Jason C to completely rip off John Rigano's Everwell group buy concept and advertise it in the forums there in the EXACT same manner as Rigano did. I'm not saying Jason shouldn't sell Everwell winders, but C'mon guys! Rigano was the first to provide this service to the WUS community....now WUS is letting some guy come along and rip off Rigano's idea? John

John, I have no control of it, and I didn't know of such offer until it appeared at the Forum. Now, I have not been unffair to Rigano, if I could I would help him sell the winders. I was surprised that I got this winder for $123.50 at Ebay. As far as control goes, obviously the Director of WUS has the ultimate authority there. Did you raise any concern at all? Did you try to suggest to Ernie that Jason is ripping off someone else's idea and that WUS shouldn't support that? You may not have control, but you are an WUS Staff person, so you DEFINITELY have influence. I don't think you're being unfair to Rigano per se, but if I were Rigano I think I'd be put off. You (as the Invicta Forum Co-Mod) put pressure on Rigano to give you some preferential pricing on a 3 watch winder, which John complied with. So instead of giving John some repeat business, you buy the cheapest priced winder you can find on eBay, and then announce that fact on every forum under the sun - adding insult to injury. See my point? John

Yea, I guess that's sort of my point here Mike. When everyone acts in their own best self interests and ignores the community, sooner or later the community suffers. Everyone seems to lament the quality control and poor customer service for ShopNBC (for example) yet they still ask why some of the great dealers like Mark Benedict are no longer around. These are the same people who go to dealers like Mark and ask for "forum sponsorship" yet buy their watches from SlopNBC, and parade around the forum what a great coupon deal they got and ignoring the forum sponsors. Sad. I point to this in particular because I personally lined up several sponsors for the Invicta Forum when I ran it. I would never have allowed what's going on their to happen. Of course, when I left, all the forum sponsors I lined up left too because the didn't like how things were being run after I left....no big surprise there. John

it's not anyone's business where anyone buys anything from!. unless you're the ones paying...you have no right dragging someone through the mud like this on an open forum. way out of line imo. your letting your personal relationship with Mr R (a friend of your's) get in the way. no one owes Mr. R anything. if he's your friend...fine...YOU buy from him. the fact that he gave hammy a good deal in the past does not require hammy to pay more now. nothing wrong with what hamilton did. these responses are VERY un-cool imo.

Lev, I'd just like to point out that Hamilton made it everyone's business by posting in SEVERAL forums about what he purchased, where he purchased it, and how much he paid. Nor am I dragging anyone's name through the mud. Hamilton and I are friends, and I've helped him get some great deals in the past. He asked all out our opinions on his deal, and I gave him mine. It may not be what either one of you want to hear or agree with, but that doesn't make it out of line. John

i wanted to do was make fact of what goes on every day!!!! My personal opinion with Oompah being at NBC now Wus will lose a ton of sponsors in relation to Invicta because of it! I hope Oompah does very well but as a business man i wouldn't advertise with what goes on! Heck i would like to see were Ham got the winder cause it's a heck of a deal!
But let's face it too most people will pick price over service! Something as a contractor who hires Subcontractors has learned that cheapest price is usually not the best price!!!!
How are the Dogs?
