Aaron Speaking about drivers, there was a French Grand Prix driver back in the 70s and 80s called Jean-Pierre Jarier. Last real competitive drives were in a Lotus 79, in place of the late Ronnie Peterson and therefore team mate to Mario Andretti ( world champion that year ) for the US and Canadian grands prix in 1978. Oh and the bottom line..... his nickname was JUMPER G'day to you Weenson

I remember Jarier. Not a bad driver for a French guy (LOL). He had a few tangles with 'Hunt the Shunt'.

Yeah and he got in a number of peoples' way when he drove for Ligier in the early 80's. A quick guy on his day who had the ability to win. Remember the opening laps at Interlagos in 1975 when, in a Shadow DN-5, he walked away from everyone else. Never quite had the luck and perhaps the temperament to go the distance. Now I wonder what watch he wore? Glad to meet another watch and motor racing fan. Weenson
