Folks I was just called by my father. His good friends wife wants to get her hubby a brand new Rolex for Christmas. =) Of course since they know there are a lot of fakes and they know I am into watches they have come to me to find them a watch. That being said they after the cheapest Rolex model with a stainless steel bracelet. I don't care if it's a current model or one that a dealer has had but would make a killer deal on to get rid of as it's an older model. So do any of you know of a really good deal that's out there from your favorite Rolex AD? Also want is the cheapest model currently in production with a bracelet?
Best Regards,

Hey Thomas, Well the least expensive current model is the SS AirKing at $3,625. But as it's new discounts probably aren't really big. BTW, the current US price list is listed in the Rolex Reference page here: jholbrook.proboards33.com/index.cgi?board=rir&action=display&thread=1125201831&page=1Do they want new or is pre-owned OK? Many dealers do have pre-owned Roelxes, and my understanding is the DateJusts can be found for a good deal... Sorry, but that's all I have, but I'm sure others will have more info for you.. Good luck!!!

This is an interesting question - we don't get much call for folks looking to get into a Rolex at "bargain basement" prices. Rather, for our community, it's more like "I like X model, how can I get the best deal?"
I'll plug the forum sponsors - some of them have quite reasonable prices on a pre-loved model. My advice, if price is a major motivator, would be to go the pre-loved route, as long as you can trust the seller. The good thing about forum sponsors is that they are trustworthy and have already been screened for quality.
Good luck!

Guys I have seen some really good deals on Pre owned and tried to steer her that way but she said it has to be new and it has to be registered to him. =( Oh well I tried. haha I do realize this is an unusual request. But for many people being able to have any new Rolex is such a big deal the fact that it's the entry level model does not really matter. It's just the idea of being able to have a genuine brand new Rolex. =) I did see a thread going about how happy you are with your AD. Can some of you really happy folks steer me in the direction of your favorite AD? We don't have one anywhere near here that is worth a darn.

Just a quick lil update. I am going to try and get them to give me a budget of about $4500.00 so there are a few more choices. I am thinking the Explorer I could be a very good choice.

I am only about 100 miles south of Chicago. Best Regards, Thomas Carey It might be well worth the drive to go to Chicago....if they're wanting to buy brand new with the paperwork in their name, then get the full experience of buying from an AD and get treated like royalty?

I agree. Actually I would most likely be the one tasked to drive up to Chicago as this is going to be a surprise gift. =) In fact there is no way our friend would ever dream that his wife would get this for him for Christmas. Is there a particular dealer in Chicago that anyone can suggest?

Honestly I would rather got to a store in the burbs rather than be in the city itself. I am a small town boy and us down state folks really don't like to have to go to the city. For one I can barely breath there. Has anyone dealt with any of the dealers in the Chicagoland area?

Being in Ohio, I haven't shopped much in that area. My advice would be to contact Rolex USA, give 'em a zip code or two and they'll give you a list of possible ADs.
