Hey Wilf, Great choice by your cousin. So the price for the TT is $8,675 for the fullsize and 8,000 for the midsize. Those are list prices of course. Regarding dealers, I'd call Rolex & get the full list of AD's in Miami. Rolex does not post this info online. The Rolex AD List number is 800-367-6539. If you can't dial a US 800 number, try 212-758-7700 & ask them to transfer you as you can't dial the number. One suggestion, the TT Yachtmaster comes in a variety of dials, but very few dealers carry more than 2 of those configs. So if there is a certain dial combo your cousin wants, I'd call around to confirm they have it, and if not to order it... Good luck, and of course once you get it post pics!!

Hey Wilf,
One more thing, you'll need the zip code for Miami when calling that number, so you may want to get that from someone your staying with or the hotel before calling....

I think Onyx... The lume is the little white triangles you see. It's pretty cool!

There's a family owned dealer named Carroll's on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. They were an AD about 20 years ago but am not sure if they still are. Can't vouch for their deals, though. Mayors is a large chain that has stores in Miami and Coral Gables that is another AD.

Hello Wilfreb,
I've done most of my rolex buys at Mayors in Miami. They are very trusted and they have a good variety. Trust me on this! I'm very picky when it comes to buying a watch and Mayor has treated me superb. The store I work with most is the one in Dadeland Mall. My sales exec is Rosalinda Centeno! She can get just about anything you want and treat you real well at the same time.

Onyx on the face? Is Rolex known for putting stones (aside from diamonds) on their watches?

Onyx on the face? Is Rolex known for putting stones (aside from diamonds) on their watches? Well, I believe the black onyx (I'm assuming it's onyx, may be something else) on the white dial for the YM was the original dial design going back at least 10 years.. I don't know if I'd consider onyx the same type of stone as a 'precious' gem, but it goes good with the white dial as your typical lume markers would show up on the dial. As to other precious gems, they do use sapphires & rubies on dials. Those are probably the 2 most common aside from the diamonds.

Thanks Scott. I have never seen a Rolex from the factory with jewels on the dial. All that I have seen is aftermarket. And why someone would do that is beyond me.

Actually the sub Serti dials look very nice IMO.. They use sapphire or rubies for the 12, 6 & 9 markers & diamonds for the other markers (1,2,4,5,7,8,10 & 11). It actually looks pretty nice if you're looking for a slight bling. I was tempted at one time, but decided on the YM instead. I never knew the white dial YM had lume until last year though because I thought the black took it up. Had I known there was lume on it, I would have been seriously tempted to get the model above. I think that white dial is just sooo crisp & clean..
Of course the ladies watches have a bunch of precious stone models.....
