Today i bade a tearful (temporary) farewell to my SD, having gained 30 seconds in 3 days it was clear there was a problem! My AD told me i would be unlikely to see it back before Christmas, no big deal really since i have a Sub and an Air-King, but the SD is by far my favourite.

PauleyPaul: Sorry to hear this. Think of it this way though, you get it back after Christmas, so by the time you are done enjoying your presents, the watch will be back! BTW, how long have you had the watch?

A little late now, but you can always make the process a bit quicker by sending it in to Rolex yourself and avoiding the dealer...at least you can here in the US where the turn around is usually 30 days or less.

I've had the SD since September 22nd, until 3 days ago it was the most accurate Rolex i've had! It feels slightly strange wearing my non-date Sub again since although outwardly similiar the SD weighs more, and has a very different feel on the wrist. The estimated return date is early January '08, so it's not that bad. I was looking forward to getting the little green box with polishing cloth, but my AD told me they don't do that anymore.
