Hi there, I've got two new watches which I wear alternately. They are NOT mechanical watches. The biggest problem is that I cannot afford a mechanical minute repeater which I would love to have. So I got myself an Eco Drive m r from Citizen. I just could not decide which one to get, the one with the metacl bracelet and the b/w dial, or the leather band model with the white dial. So I just got them both. I love the minute repetition gimmick! Regards, muttenstrudel

Great looking watches. I have been tempted on more than one occasion but I am intimidated by watches that are smarter than I am.

If you are going to buy a non-mechanical minute repeater (I can't afford a mechanical one either), you can't buy a better quality or more gorgeous ones than the two you just bought! When it comes two quartz watches with complications, Citizen is among the best out there, and many of Citizen's quartz watches are hand made and cost more than some high end mechanical watches. Wear them both in good health!

Great lookers. How do you like the sound of the gongs. Do they sound mechanical or electronic?

Nice watches muttenstrudel A stupid question. Can anyone tell me what a minute repeater is There are no stupid questions! As per Wikipedia®- The minute repeater is a complication found in a mechanical watch, in which the time is chimed to the nearest minute. These watches were once popular with the blind and visually impaired, but nowadays this complication is sought after mainly by watch enthusiasts. MORE INFO ON MINUTE REPEATERS

Great lookers. How do you like the sound of the gongs. Do they sound mechanical or electronic? To me they sound pretty „real“. I think the wanted to give that watch a sound that has a little bit of turning cogwheels (my technical English ends here – is this the right word?). Al least it does not sound like the typical hour or alarm beeps of the early 80's quartz watches. Regards, muttenstrudel

Reeeaallly nice... I saw one of these on sale a couple of days ago (around USD$350) which is very cheap. Thought yes/no/yes/no/yes.... and so on, you know how it is. But I'm due to pick up a breitling soon, and just can't justify the citizen before the breitling's even on the wrist..... Kudos for getting both models..... maybe that's the way I should think (but then again, I'd like my wife to stay )..... Wear with pride
