Hey Bigfella,
Well, it's very hard to tell from a picture, and I don't have a 1999 Chronolog to compare it to. However, I do have a 2000 Chronolog and that watch isn't in it. Here's the discrepancies I see:
Bezel is all wrong. Looks like a 2 piece bezel, and what's that black outer ring? I've never seen a Breitling with that type of bezel. A colt should have a 1 piece diver style bezel. Also, this watch has blocks for the 1 minute markers on the bezel, should be a think dash
Pusher are wrong. Never seen a pusher like that on a Breitling. Unless those are screw-down, and the screws are fully extended. But I don't think the Colt has screw-down pushers.
There should be a date window at 4pm. I don't see one.
See the clear glare on the crystal? The Colt is glare-proof AR coated on both sides, so that should be a blue tint, not clear.
Lugs look too wide & too square
No crown guard, should have one
The 3 & 9 chrono's are too low. They should not be centered but instead above 3 & 9
Wow, as I typed that, there's alot of discrepancies. BUT, as I said I'm comparing to a 2000 Colt. But, unless they radically changed the design (very unlikely) it's fake. And that black bezel is something I've never seen.
I'd say 95% sure it's fake - stay away...
But hopefully one of the other guys who has a '9 Chronolog can chime in....
