MONTBRILLANT LEGENDE The largest Navitimer model As the latest addition to the Navitimer line, the new Montbrillant Légende chronograph is also the largest in this emblematic collection, with an imposing stature of 47 mm. But that is certainly not the only special feature of its design. By smoothly integrating the case and bracelet, Breitling has endowed this model with flowing, balanced lines that further emphasize its unique character. In terms of the choice of finish, Montbrillant Légende also reinforces its singularity by offering - in addition to the steel version - a steel and rose gold version in which the crown, pushpieces and bezel are all crafted in this precious metal. Faithful to the aeronautical spirit cherished by Breitling, the Montbrilliant Legende is equiped not only with the famous circular slide rule, but also on its caseback with a conversion scale for the main aviation weights and measures. The styling and layout of the dial are resolutely inspired by the 1940s. The same goes for the hands, the traditional central 1/100th of an hour indication, as well as the horizontal totalizers at 9 and 3 o'clock characteristic of Breitling Caliber 23, the mechanism driving this superlative Navitimer. Hey guys,
47mm sounds OK to me. I think it will be stunning in the larger size. There's so much going on within a Navitimer dial that the larger size may space it out a bit and make it less busy. I've not seen one of these yet but I've tried on the 46mm Navitimer World and it is fantastic.
I read in a UK watch magazine yesterday that the SS version will be £3400 and the TT £5200.
Both seem a little over priced to me compared to the rest of the Navitimer range. What do you guys think?
Rick.

$7,000 for a SS and $10,500 for a TT? Yea - that's a bit much IMO.. Actually alot much. Wow, hadn't seen anything on MSPR's yet. If true, I question how many will sell. For 10K, there are alot of other TT's I'd rather have. Indeed I can have 2 of many TT's for that price....
BTW, I agree with you Rick that the size will be good. The 40mm Navi's looks small to me because there's so much going on inside the dial. Spreading it out would be nice.

Hey guys, Just a quick update on price. I stopped in an AD yesterday here in Florida and they had the SS version on the copper dial (left picture above, watch on right) and the price was right around $5,600 USD. So pretty much where it should be. Don't know what the TT version is, they didn't have one. BUt $5,300 USD is much more realistic. Rick, Sounds like another case of the queen taking somoe extra taxes as the UK price (in the USD) would be around 2,800.. Sorry pal.. BUT, it is quite a looker. I don't care for the copper dial, I would much prefer the black, but I liked the look of the watch on the wrist. And Rick was right, it seems much less "busy" than other Navi's as there's more room on the dial. I give it a 9.2. Very nice! Looking forward to seeing the TT...

You know, while I love the look of this model (and the size! ) the only negative to me is the integrated bracelet (along with the Navitimer Heritage). While I really like the clean lines of the integrated bracelet and how nice it looks, I wish they'd make a leather / croco strap that would be able to work with the integrated part of the case. A Navitimer just looks SO nice on leather & croco it's a shame to deny this model that option.... I know the other models can have a strap, but this 'vintage' look would go so good on a nice leather strap IMO... That's the only thing that would keep me from getting this model. If I get a Navitimer, I'm going to want the stainless steel & croco strap for it... Put that option on the Legende, and I'm seriously tempted...
