I came home for lunch and guess what!? I had a package from Breitling on my porch. I was hoping it was a free watch... but it was the Breitling hat. Of course I had to take a few pics of that and the watch!! Things I commited to today: This weekend I will look into some kind of a light box. Next month I will look into a tripod. Within 6 months I will get a better camera with Macro lens.

Beautiful pictures, Chip.
I have gone to look at the Steelfish X-Plus a couple of times at my local AD. Gorgeous watch, although I was a little concerned about the size.
Last week, I was in Hong Kong on business and had a few extra hours to walk around Kowloon. Many, many watch shops -- with a great selection of Swiss watches that I am unable to find here in Seattle. Anyway, I tried on the X-Plus again in one shop, and then a few minutes later I found another shop that only had the smaller version of the Steelfish. It just felt way to small (relatively) and not nearly as impressive to me as the X-plus. This really eased my mind that the X-plus is the right choice and that I would indeed be happy with it.
Now, I'm just waiting for my $$$ kitchen remodel to finish so I can come up with the funds.. I am also seriously considering the Planet Ocean -- just need to find a dealer that has the Steelfish and PO so that I can compare them side-by-side. Your pics keep swaying me towards the Steelfish, however.
thanks, Mike

Welcome to the Forum! My dealer had both sizes in stock and the X-Plus just looked better. I have a really small wrist but it does not look bad at all. It wears a lot smaller that it looks. The Planet Ocean is my next watch! Here is a pic with some other watches that I own and you can see that it really isn't all that big!

You really need to look into that tripod and light box....those pictures are HORRIBLE! ;D J/K man....awesome pics as usual. Don't waste your time on a light box if you can get those results without one! ;D
