I just bought my first Breitling after admiring them for over 20 years. I picked the one I've always admired.......an Aerospace with blue face and titanium band without the gold trim. I have one question. How do you respond to the guy that says "why would you spend $2,000 on a watch?"

It's a nice feeling to get the one you always wanted! How do you respond? I just say that some people like cars or boats, and spend a fortune on them. I like watches.
Welcome to the forum, and post some pics when you get a chance. Congrats on your new watch and wear it in good health!

Most people won't ask as most wouldn't have a clue. Those in the know will probably have spent more. There are no set rules as it is your money and some will spend that much on something of no value.Eg smokes etc. Enjoy it Cheers Aaron

Gents,
Thanks for the warm welcome and the kind words. Proud to finally call myself a Breitling owner.
Can anyone tell me what kind of accuracy I can expect out of what Breitling calls this "SuperQuartz" model? Thanks!

I believe the SQ models are supposed to be accurate to 15 sec/year! If you have a Chronolog there is some info on the movement and how it works and why it is so accurate. If you don't have one just call Breitling or your dealer to get one. John s
