Depends what's vintage I guess... This one is older - about 13 years or so.

It was my first ORIS too... I saw one a couple of years ago, and finally found one on The Bay. I sent it in for refinishing, and had a display back added (from a later model) to show off the movement. A Louisiana alligator strap and a signed buckle complete the watch. Thoughts?

It is a classic rectangular moonphase. It came on the original bracelet (shown below), with a standard steel back. The one I found had aftermarket stick hands, some marks on the crystal, and they said the moonphase didn't work... but it came with box and papers. It wasn't in great shape (obviously) but I had fallen for it years ago when I just missed on on another forum. So for about $150 it was mine. Turns out the moonphase DID work, but takes a month to go around - as opposed to the day/night register found on some other watches, which is what they thought it was. It ran about -2 sec/day. ORIS Canada was great! They ordered me a new hand set, and a new crystal. When I looked into it, I noticed that later ORISs used the same basic case, but had a display back. ORIS Canada said they could order one and try it. It worked! I also ordered a new 16mm buckle from them, and all the parts and service charges were very reasonable. Shout out to Donovan who took good care of me. It's not a big watch, 26mm x 38mm with a 19mm band. Very dressy watch, and unusual. Oris tells me it was made from late 80's to early/mid 90's. All in all, I am very pleased with the way this watch turned out. I may try to take a pic with another watch to give a better idea of the size.

They were available originally with a blue croc strap (a little darker than mine) or the bracelet. I too like the strap better with this watch, but it's nice to have the bracelet - they're harder to find. I like the texture (guilloche?) on the face. It's a nice watch in that there is a lot in the details. Thanks for the compliments!
