Hi there,
I'm brand new at picture posting. Finally hooked up with Photobucket.com yesterday and figured that part out!
My question has to with equipment. I have a very nice Canon EOS 10D SLR digital camera, with a 35-80 zoom (I think).
But, I can't take super close ups like I see on this site. Do I need a new lens, new camera, or both?
Also, are dark backgrounds generally preferred over light for stainless steel watches, etc.?
Thanks VERY much!
Rob

Rob Wow...that's WAAAY more camera than you need for posting the ocassional watch picture, but it will certainly do the trick. I'm not sure which lens you currently have based on the description...it MIGHT be capable of doing a basic watch photo, but you'll likely need a macro lens. I using the Canon 100mm USM macro mated to my 20D.
