I promised I'd try a picture of my collection after my Speedy arrived from Berne. I have a lot to learn, I am afraid. My pride and joy is my TT Sub, new after Christmas. Traded my TT Thunderbird to get it. The Speedy was my college graduation gift back in 1969, now restored. The Bellmatic was 1971, Navy, when I needed a alarm, pre-digital. The Hamilton gold was an employer 20 year watch. The Luminox was a spontaneous purchase. The two digitals are my sailing watches.

Welcome aboard.
Nice collection. I especially like the vintage Speedy.
Any reason why you wouldn't use your sub while sailing ?
In general are there any issues with the gold and corrosion due to sea water ?
Cheers, Henry

I don't wear my Rolex while sailing because there are too many ways to scratch the watch. While people tend to think of sailing as passive, there is a lot of stainless and bronze around and any of that scratches gold. So when I sail, I sail with a watch that is essentially a throwaway or at least I don't care about damage. I put on my Rolex at night, I sleep better. I did see the bellmatic site. I hoped this classic was worth more, but it has sentimental value and still works fine. Larry
