Dave....glad you're liking the Pepsi Alpha GMT. Great review you wrote there, too. I completely agree with everything you said. The crown is definitely the weak point of the watch. I counted the number of clicks the bezel makes on 1 revolution and it was 110....kind of strange it's not 120, but oh well.
I have been amazed with the accuracy of my Pepsi GMT...just checked it and it's dead on +/- zero since March 1. I think it's just the luck of the draw though....my Alpha "Explorer II" is running closer to +10/day.
If you like the one you got and are going to buy another Alpha, I'd definitely recommend the Explorer II. To me, it seems to have a higher quality feel to it than the Pepsi GMT.

My Explorer II feels very solid. Even more so than my Alpha "Daytona"

Just wanted to chime in here with the rest of you about Alpha. I haven't been posting for awhile, but I've been checking in and reading in the meantime. I saw the Alpha "craze" take off, and I jumped in silently. I guess everyone purchased from the same guy on eBay (collector 898).
Anyway, I just received my watches last weekend. I got the black and read bezel GMT and the white dial Explorer. I immediately gave the Explorer to my Dad, but kept the GMT. I wore it all last week until Friday, and it gained only 5 seconds. These watches are truly a value for what you get.
If it craps out in a year, I'll probably take the opportunity to learn a bit more about how mechanical watches work by stripping it apart. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy.
