Here's my diffuser made from 1/2" PVC pipe and draped with Malden Mills (MA) fleece. The lamps contain 27W daylight flourescent bulbs as found in Varilux lamps. Lamps range upwards of $50.00 each I believe I will reduce the width so it will hold only the SWI 12 slot watch box. That will allow the right end to be a reflector which should diffuse the light further. An option would be to add a 3rd lamp on the right side to allow greater control over depth-of-field. img.photobucket.com/albums/v88/roloya/Studio/roloya_90.jpg[/img] Watches in the box were either Made in England or purchased from England or gifted to Roloya from England. img.photobucket.com/albums/v88/roloya/Studio/roloya_96.jpg[/img] The watch on brown strap farthest on the right is an old triple bezel diver. The 4 in the back row of the box were made by Roy Taylor and the one on the left of the front row is the Speedbird 1903 LE from Eddie Platts. We know Image Shack links work OK in my posts here. We'll now test Photo Bucket. links as well as show you the current setup. THANKS for looking. Comments welcome.

Here's my redneck version I made yesterday. I used the PVC frame from a laundry basket and a couple of kitchen trash bags. It didn't stay together long, because the wife wanted here laundry basket back. Go figure. I need to find another flourescent light or two for more even lighting, but it's a start.

Maybe it's time to take a trip to the local Home Depot. Lowes, etc. I paid $1.29 for a 10' length of 1/2" PVC pipe and a couple of dollars for the fittings. Most expensive part was the fabric but my wife paid for that. You got to take advantage of whatever gifts they give - collecting watches can be a dangerous business around the wife. Especially when she realizes you just bouht another one.

I use trash bags too and they work great. I've experimented with other materials and find they work the best so far. I've been thinking of trying reflective movie screen fabric and placing the light sources inside the tent. Anybody here ever try that?
