I need help--I thought I knew everything about posting photos to websites. Yes, I guess my big head is getting in the way of rational thought.
Someone please advise me as to how to post photos on this site. I do have quite a few and I think you would enjoy them from time to time.
Thanks,
Cayce Fuqua cayce@preownedrolex.com

Good question, Cayce. I'll refer you to the FAQ area on our main menu page. There is a great thread on posting photos. Here 'tis . . . Photo FAQIf you still have problems, send me a PM Welcome to WTF, btw. We would love to have you post some of your watch pics.

Well, I know this board doesn't host photo files so you'll need to upload your pics to a web server of your choice that allows URL linking. Then use the icon in the "post message mode" after "Add tags:" (it looks like a little framed picture fourth on the bottom row) after you click the icon you wil need to substitute the actual URL where your pics are located where it says URL.

white gold 18239--simple , yet elegant. This photo was shot on a piece of outdoor furniture--early morning before the sun starts to glare and shoot reflections. The watch faces east--my back to the sun. Canon Power Shot G5, 5.0 megapixels. No photoshop necessary.

I really like the wood background in the first two images. The wood with the watches gives the entire image a magical and elegant quality.
Well done.
Dave.

Cayce, I long for the time when we will build a log home. I already have the acreage on top of a mountain in East Tennessee picked out. Now to figure out how to pay for that and college for the two daughters. I'm glad you're participating, and look forward to more photos of your watches as well as your unique home.

Hi,
Great shots Cayce.
Is the minute hand on the 50th actually wider, or is that an optical illusion caused by barrel distortion in the lens when it's zoomed in ?
Cheers, Achint

According to the parts catalogue from Rolex( my Rolex watchmaker's list dated Sept. 2004), the hands are different on the 16610LV-all three of them. They carry a different part code than the 16610. The second hand is definitely a tad different; maybe wider as you noticed.

many neat places to takes photos when you live in a 100 year old log home. Cayce How about this place up in BC Canada... my better half owns this place and someday we hope to go live there and grow veg and chickens - it's high enough up to be away from the rapidly rising water in the UK ;D - I can't wait She actually designed/built it with her then husband back in the 70's. Great little place. It has it's own well and 2 acres of land surrounded by forest. Only downside is there is about 1ft of snow at the moment (according to the tenants), but if you haven't got to rush off anyplace then you can enjoy making snowballs
