Hi David,
Welcome aboard.I must admitt that I am looking forward to finding the ins and outs of watch photography.
Some of the photos that I have seen posted have been of a high standard and it is something I would like to strive for.

I use a Sony Cybershot DSC-P72 but am pursuing a Nikon Coolpix 4300 on line! The macro is awesome on that camera!

Equipment doesn't need to be expensive. I have a Canon Powershot G2 that works well, though the newer cameras are better for this type of work (closeup watch photos).
I use a Canon EOS 10d. John uses a Canon EOS 20d. A friend of mine uses a Nikon 8700.
Getting a clear steady shot will go a loooonnggg way since you can enlarge and crop.

David Welcome aboard. I think this forum is going to be great as I'm a newbie to the world of digital photography. I have a Canon S60 that I purchased a month ago, but haven't had much time to learn as I've been soooooooooo busy with work. I'm looking forward to all the tips that will help me become a good picture taker.
Cheers Bob Breznay ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Welcome aboard David,
I have a lot to learn about watch photography and I am sure this forum will help me!
I am using a CANON PowerShot S50 and I am planning to buy a tripod for macro photos.
Kind regards,
