Let me add my welcome to those of the esteemed Mr. H to the Original Invicta Forum! I hope we will continue the success enjoyed by WTF, and provide a place where Invicta fans - and respectful critics - can come together to discover and discuss an innovative marque - Invicta! I know there are several WTF members who own Invicta watches, and who also have pics. I can only say one thing - Bring 'em on! In that light, here's one of my favorites Invicta 9956 I'll have more as the next few days go by. Let's see yours. I want to thank everyone in advance for their support and contributions. This forum will succeed only with your participation. Don't hesitate to PM me if you have any questions or suggestions. BTW, Mike - You will always be considered a special guest - and contributor!

Thanks Yachtmaster, Invicta makes many, many different models, and more than a few are considered Rolex homages. The (important) distinction between an Invicta watch that takes some styling cues from a Rolex, and and an outright fake is the name on the dial. Invicta watches clearly have the Invicta name and logo on the dial. They're not trying to fool anyone. A fake is altogether different in this regard. It's important to note that many, many different watch brands have models that are "Rolex styled." Invicta does make a darn good watch for the money. John

As having been pointed out before, Invicta makes a quality watch and they are hard to beat for the price. I wear a 8926 most of the time due to it's style but also to its sheer durability.

::)why did you need another one?? Are they realy that good a watch? I always thought thay were just fakes. Isnt that a no-no? Just curius! Thanks Good question. The Invicta marque goes back to the early 1900's. Invicta's owner, Eyal Lalo still calls it a family business. It originally directed its sales and marketing efforts to latin and South America - basically selling what vintage fans call dollar watches. The new Invicta, however, has been the beneficiary of a shrewd marketing campaign oriented primarily at the fashion market - avant garde designs and quartz movments. They have, however, occaisionally brought out really nice automatic/mechanical watches at very affordable prices. I think your reference to Invicta's watches as "fakes" is a gross oversimplification. True, many of their early watches were clearly homage designs; they have all been clearly signed as Invictas. They are not fakes; however, many consider some of these watches as uninspired copies. You'll have to make your own decision about the provenance of Invicta's designs, but that may be what this forum is all about - helping folks decide for themselves the quality and potential for enjoyment an Invicta watch can provide.
