like a fool, I also sold this one too. It's was a great tt combination with the Oyster bracelet, smooth bezel and silver Romans dial. Like all tt Oyster bracelets, it was a scratch magnet...

Yea...here's a pic of my TT Sub and you're right...it's a scratch magnet: That particular Datejust happens to be my favorite too...as hard as it would be to wear an under 40mm diameter watch, that one sure does tempt me. So what Rolex models are left in your current stable? Haven't sold 'em all have you? John

Notre Dame? I graduated from there in 1973. That's a beautiful watch Slugo. Concerning the TT Oyster bracelet, I have just learned to live with the scratches.....it just gives it even more character.

Now thats a nice DJ, Slugo ! I always thought of gold watches as something thin and flimsy on a leather strap but this (almost) changed my mind! ;D ;D ;D I do feel I have to promote the Datejust on this forum since most members seems to prefer subs, GMTs and ExIIs...

I actually like the Datejust but it's a tad too small for my frame. However, I think I'm in the absolute minority when I say I prefer a DJ to have arabics. There's one pictured in the Rolex catalogue (in a nice b/w shot) that is stunning cuz the arabics aren't upside down as you usually see them.
I could be swayed to get a DJ like that... but there are too many others waiting in the cue. LOL
