The WIS agrees with you - he should have changed into his Sea-Dweller for such hazzardous wet work! ;D However, I think the majority of Rolex owners have just one and simply don't take it off for anything. He's young and obviously spent all his dought on a YG prezzie.
BTW, it's still waterproof to 100 meters. And dog hair isn't that course that it would scratch the YG. Good for him for WEARING his Rolex.
SS, gold or platinum, it's meant to be worn and is still the toughest mofo watch around.

no problems and it looked shiny too!
I applaud that guy on the Appentice for doing it. Shows he isn't worred about scratches or other crap. He likes to wear it as it is a great watch that is tough as nails.
