If so, can you give us any pre-review impressions? ;D

Not yet, but I expect it soon. Eyal and I are working on another "project" (that I am sworn to silence on) that should prove to be even more exciting.
When and if it happens, I'll give the details.
I am excited to get the new Speedway and I hope it lives up to the hype we have all generated about it over the last 14 months or so.

You guys have me wound up (pardon the pun) about an automatic speedway. I have been wanting to pull the trigger on a Daytona for a while, but the cost as well as the current supply from authorized dealers is a bit prohhibitive. If Eyal is going to make a high quality piece using a modified 7750, 7751 or another ETA chronograph, then it gets mighty tough not to give it a try. Do we know yet the price range that Invicta is looking at for this piece?
Thanks!

Try like 2+ years.....we were begging for an auto Speedway from Eyal (via Tom Palmer) back when I started the Invicta Forum....it's been a long time coming for sure. The new project sounds pretty intriguing! John

All I know for certain at this point is that it will be offered as a COSC certified Chronometer. It is possible that we'll see some non chronometers, and maybe a limited run of actual chronometers... this much is unclear. Eyal has also upgraded many of the new Swiss models with a higher grade of luminescence, so I would expect this on the Speedway. This will be a 100% Swiss watch from the new Swiss factory they began operating in the last year.
When Eyal first discussed the Auto Speedway with me many months ago there was no mention of it being a chronometer, and they were awaiting their supply of Valjoux 7751's. Soon afterwards Eyal told me that they cannot get enough supply of the 7751 so they had to switch out the movement (I can't recall what they switched to, but it is a good movement). Then about 2 or 3 weeks ago Eyal announced via SNBC that the Speedway will be a certified chronometer.
Expect Sapphire crystals front and back, SS throughout (although I would also expect a 18k/SS model as well) a high grade bracelet along the lines of the 9937, and improved clasp. No word yet on the actual design but I am willing to bet it will look a lot less like a Daytona now simply due to the fact that all of their other Rolex inspired designs have been modified in the last year to look less like a Rolex.

Sounds good, let's just hope Eyal and the gang can deliver. I have been one of the lucky ones and always recieved a fully functioning and well finished watch from Invicta, so I feel good about their newest efforts.
Keep up the good work Oompa. I am glad that you have gotten the opportunity to give Eyal and Invicta some WIS feedback.
BTW did you get the DM back safe and sound?
