OMEGA CONSTELLATION DOUBLE EAGLE
CO-AXIAL LADIES CHRONOGRAPH
CO-AXIAL LADIES CHRONOGRAPH
Introduced at Baselworld 2007, the Constellation 35 mm Automatic Co-Axial Chronograph was conceived as a sports watch with the sophistication of a luxurious touch. The blend of 18-carat red gold with a rich chocolate brown dial and sporty rubber strap is set alight with the fire of diamonds, providing an appearance and presence that will charm by day and be worn in style in the evening.
In a 35 mm case, its’ size is ideal for ladies who are looking for a bigger watch but not willing to sacrifice femininity. The “claws” or “griffes” on the bezel which were first introduced as hallmark feature of the Constellation Line in 1982 is set with 64 diamonds. The new rubber sports strap is neatly integrated into the case by way of two half-moon facets that form an elegant transition between the two. The design philosophy of this special watch with its accent on style, elegance and detail is patent in features such as the contrast between the highly polished gold chronograph push buttons, the crown, the inner bezel and the matt satin finish of the case. Even the crown itself is set with a briolette diamond and 32 diamonds totalling 1.43 carats.
The deep brown colour of the dial is achieved through a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) treatment that creates the perfect backdrop for the pink-brown mother-of-pearl 12-hour and thirty minute sub dials. These are interestingly set alongside each other to form a figure of eight that especially draws the eye. A third sub dial featuring a discreet small seconds counter, is found at 9 o’clock. The twelve solid red gold hour markers are facetted and polished to catch the light while the 18-carat red gold Dauphine style hands are also facetted and bear Super-LumiNova inserts. The 18-carat red gold Constellation star symbol is featured on the dial, to match the Omega logo and symbol. A gently domed scratch-proof sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides ensures that the dial is highly visible even in conditions of extraneous light.
This COSC certified chronometer is powered by OMEGA’s exceptional self-winding Calibre 3313, equipped with a Co-Axial escapement which offers a power reserve of 52 hours. This column-wheel mechanism serves to perfect the chronograph’s performance in ensuring a smooth start to the sweep of the seconds hands when the chronograph is activated and provides precision stop and reset functions. The rhodium-plated movement has been given a luxurious finish and the bridges are decorated with attractive circular graining, Geneva waves and gold-plated engravings, all of which are visible through the sapphire crystal screw-in case back. The watch is also available in Titanium or stainless steel to match the existing gentleman’s model, is water resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet.
The Constellation Double Eagle 35 mm Co-Axial Chronograph is presented on a brown rubber strap. As a final touich of luxury, it securely fastens on the wrist by way of an 18-carat brushed red gold foldover clasp decorated with a polished Omega logo.
