Well pal Buying from the US of A saves Western Europeans bags of money. I haven't ever come to point of having to change strap yet but given that I would probably not use a strap that much, the replacement cost over time wouldn't be that high for me. Am I making sense? Having said that though, buying non-OEM ( Original Equipment Manufacturer ) straps will save you even more. You'll need to check to see if they would fit an Omega deployment clasp though. AFAIK, not many would. Fr John is an expert in this area if you need further information. Be well pal ZIN Not usually shaken nor stirred ;D ;D ;D

I voted the second option.. It's a never ending hunt for the perfect strap that drives me. I really like the original Omega straps, but they are expensive.. Hirsch straps or Hoders straps are great bang for the buck, they can be had for $35,- The quality is excellent...

I currently have two Omega straps, the perforated racing and the black shark.
When we moved recently, I realized that in the three or so years I have owned them, the racing strap has been worn once and the shark maybe three times.
That is a lot of money to have tied up in straps that are basically never worn.
The only straps that get any wear are the $53 Hirsch Leonardos fitted with the too expensive but oh so cool Omega deployant.

You're right Brother which is anudder reason ( the udder one being having to take steel to my watch ) why I haven't quite come round to the idea of getting a strap yet. Bracelet is more hard-wearing too which suits my lifestyle. Like you, I just love that Omega deployment clasp. Saw a Zenith one yesterday and it looked cheap and nasty like the ones you find in an online discount strap store. Blessings and be well now Bro ZIN Not usually shaken nor stirred ;D ;D ;D
