Hi all I've been searching for some while for a leather strap which looks good on my GMT. I started with a Hirsch carbon fibre strap - it felt too 'rough' and I think the watch needs a bit of shine on the strap. i also didn't like the stitching - it looked cheap. See pic below with its friend Ian Ogilvy. I then tried a red piping version (I forget which make) which looked good for colour coordination, but the strap again felt too thin and cheap. See pic below with friends Uma and Ralph (Godawful film, but good imagery). Finally I've gone for the Hirsch black water resistant 100m strap - about £35, which I think does the job. I think a black strap contrasts nicely with the black face. I may go back to the bracelet in the summer. It's just that come the winter the bracelet slides around a lot more and is often actually quite uncomfortable, and I'm fed up with going back to the AD to get a link removed, and then put back in come the summer, when my wrist size seems to expand.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with us Mr Jupiter. I agree that black suits the GMT Noir. A plain black sans double ridge would be very nice too imho if devoid of the "topographical" features. Uma and Ralph .......The Avengers perhaps? Be well now ZIN Not usually shaken nor stirred ;D ;D ;D

As most know, I am a fan of the Hirsch straps - especially the Leonardo line with curved ends. You might try a black Mobile or Principe. Here is my white GMT on a honey Principe: And my 2255.80 on a blue Mobile: Fr. John+
