Blue divers watch? I think this would sell thru the roof! Never say never Mike...but Rolex won't do ANYTHING different until their sales numbers force them to change....no sign of that happening soon. John

I have always thought that if they offered a Sub with a navy blue dial and bezel insert that it would be a winner. THAT would have been better than a simple green bezel (and oversized markers) for the 50th.

I had the opportunity to buy one locally, and would have done so just to flip the watch, but it seemed risky....couldn't get them to discount it a penny. It's hard for me to think I'm going to make money on a watch I personally don't like. John

none of the dealers here in AZ can get any! I saw it in person but from a salesman who bought his online gom figure!

Actually, when I first saw the pix of the kermit, I disliked it. But having seen it in the flesh, so to speak, I quite like it. I had the opportunity to buy one at list, but in Canada even to flip it I'd have lost money.
I know a couple of guys with kermits and they get regular wrist time.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and having had one for a year now I can honestly I rather like it. If I go back to wearing my black sub it just ain't the same without the maxidial. I'm toying with the idea of a second black bezel to swop from time to time for a change, but as I said, wunstchaget used to the new dial it's no contest.

That's not entirely accurate.
Rolex continues to improve in areas that are not obvious to the 'man-on-the-street,' the casual observer who wants a Rolex simply because he's bought into their remarkably successful marketing scheme.
To wit: The progression form the 15XX movements through the 30XX to the 31XX calibers represents a substantial commitment to building a better mousetrap.
What Rolex doesn't do is succumb to every fashion breeze that comes along, and they certainly don't care what we'd like to see, representing such a minuscule, insignificant part of their overall business.
Their slow twist with the new Turn-O-Graphs and Datejusts are about as avant-garde as Rolex is ever likely to be. I don't think I'd like to see any 44 or 46mm watches in Rolex's future lineup.

I would definitely have to agree here. Rolex hasn't made any revolutionary changes, but have an incredible R&D program that is respected by every watch maker in the world. They will never change for the sake of change, but they have implemented evolutionary change along the way. John
