This is from WatchTime 2006/4 Not a bad grade considering the Daytona got a 91! This is for the Green Dial all Gold model.

You know Mike, I've had a 116710 for a few months now and can honestly say it's the most accurate out of the box Rolex I've ever had. Mine gains a few secounds a MONTH! Rolex has really done themselves proud with this one. I'm a bit fan of the Maxi dial as I find it's readability in less than ideal conditions to be supurb. The new design of the bezel and it's precise nature is a work of art (albiet at perhaps a slight loss of versatility as a timing device). Because of the flatter caseback the watch seems to settle into the wrist quite nicely with no "flop" as with some heavier pieces. I've always been a fan of the triplock as it's much easier to operate and has a wonderfull solid feel. There were some that expressed concern about the ceramic insert being brittle and might crack, but that has not been the case from reports posted and I find it to blend quite well with the polished centerlinks of the bracelet, almost giving a pewter like apperance in certain lighting conditions. While I am one of those that never had a problem with the hollow link bracelst and clasp, the new solid link version and improved clasp are....well..REALLY improved! LOL! Rolex got this one very right! I can't wait to see what might be coming down the pike for the Submariner and other references as Rolex moves to upgrade the line. A few pics, The new clasp and the difference between old and new, A comparison of the thickness between the GMT IIc and the SD,

It's a handsome piece and I've certainly heard several testimonial stories about the watch's accuracy. As to WATCHTIME, they have several problems with their scoring of watches...it doesn't really mean anything that the GMT got 94 points and the Daytona got 91. It was two different reviewers so while both used a 100 point scale, your mileage will still vary.... ;D

I believe what John has said.
I also believe that the GMT II in SS can pick up a few (four) more points. Two points can be picked up in the "Design" category as they seemed to have a bit of heartburn with the color scheme, and two more in the "Overall Rating" category if they were concerned about the price. That said, I don't think the GMT II is a tremendously good value when compared strictly on sticker price to other SS Rolex pieces. However, it has so many new tricks, that many of us still feel it is worthwhile.
Thanks for the post - a very good one.

Just out of curiosity, what did they say of the Sub/LV?

Just out of curiosity, what did they say of the Sub/LV? Watchtime's website maintains an archive of their reviews. I don't believe they've revewed the LV specifically, but they've reviewed the Sub and SD.

Mine either. I love the Pathfinder and was wondering what they would say about it.
