Ok so this watch was my fathers until his death in 2002. He came from a humble church going family who lived paycheck to paycheck. In his job he was very well liked and helped many people. One day when he was working he helped a lady break into her own car. It was pouring rain and she was standing there with 3 kids and lots of groceries, he managed to bend a hanger into a loop and open the car. Once she was in he bid her goodbye and before he could leave she asked for his name and address so that she could write him a thank you card. This is what came in the mail... BTW the strap is a replacement and the buckle is not original. He sure wore out the original band though.

What a very nice watch!!!! And she sent that in the mail to your Dad? AMAZING!!! No doubt your father would have bent over backwards to help someone out, and that is very commendable. For the woman to show her thanks is equally impressive.
Do you have more pictures of the watch?

It was a wonderful gift and he had no idea what it was for a long time. I let him know in late 1986 what it was and he put it away in a safe place. Thank you so much for all of the great replies. Respectfully, Paul
