Yesterday, I adjusted the date for the first time (from 31 to 01). When I arose this morning, the date was still the 01, so I moved it forward to 02. Is the date mechanism malfunctioning on my watch, or should I expect the date to move forward this evening? If it doesn't move forward, what should I do?

You don't have your watch set 12 hours off do you??

That would be my guess as well. Does the change every 24 hours at noon? If so, advance it 12 hours, and you should be ok. If not, you would have to bring it back. Oh, and do not feel bad at all. EVERYONE has done something like this at one time or other. Let us know what you find out.

I don't think the time is 12 hours back. It didn't change today at noon. Other than changing the date, do I have to roll the time back too?

Take a point in time (say 1230 pm), note the date, and 24 hours later, see if it changes. If not, then you would have to bring the watch back for service.
