I have spent the past two wweks doing research, and a Ball is certainly my next purchase. Just trying to decide if I want to go with the 2824 Fireman, or just blow the budget and go for the 7750. Opinions?

Both are very nice watches at great value. You wont regret either. All the best!

Hi--I'm new to this forum and this is my first post so I hope no one will mind me saying that (IMHO) a Ball watch should be judged by how it appeals to your senses, not solely by what it costs. They are all very fine watches regardless of cost--a Fireman's quality is as good as any other Ball costing twice as much. Whatever you decide to get, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!!

Very well stated and welcome to the forum!! I have 40 mm Ball Fireman and though many would call it an "entry level" Ball watch I find the overall quality, craftsmanship and accuracy to be the equal of watches costing much more.

The problem with the 7750 is that they are always heavy, thick and a bit clunky to wear. Now before you say it, I wear a Speedmaster Professional all the time, and that is a 42mm chrono, but it wears "smaller", and some of you at least know what I mean. That being said, the 7750's I have owned have all be very very accurate timekeepers, around 2 seconds per day when properly regualated. But do try on a 7750 someplace before you buy, some people just don't find them that wearable. OTOH, the Trainmaster series are amazing. I have the Trainmaster Arabic Chronometers, and the Trainmaster Small Seconds. They all wear very very comfortably.

Great choice. I was thinking about trading my Ball Fireman, but couldn't bring myself to doing it. What a great watch! This one's a keeper. Now, all I need is to add the bracelet one of these days
