The oft overused phrase "attention to detail" is on the money as far as the engraved casebacks on Ball Watches are concerned. Here is the case back of my Ball Fireman. Note the Companys founders name on the front of the locomotive. Any other owners have case back pictures? The backs look almost as good as the fronts!!!

Here's the back of my WT: I agree attention to detail! From the rear engraving to the dial pattern to the signature clasp. WOW!!!

Yes, you are right Foggy. The attention to detail on Ball Watches is second to none. I was showing another WIS my Fireman and he was very impressed with the details. Have you ever noticed how fine the printing on the dial of the Fireman? Look at 'since 1891'.

BTW, how is the clasp hooked? Is there a safety catch?

Pretty much a standard double folding "butterfly" clasp. Both ends just snap into place.
