what is up with these malaysia movments from seiko are they still the same quaility. Are most seiko movements made in malaysia or china? even if it says japan on the dial or case back
i know some products that say made in japan are really made in china but with an agreement with the chinese they print "made in japan" because most japanese people are so proud to be japanese that they will not buy a product that isn' t japanese. like the nintendo Ds for the western market it says "made in china" for japan it says "made in japan" but they are both made in china
so is seiko just the only company that tells the true origin of their product. just curious also a certain shopping chanel seems to think the seiko autos they sell are japanese but if you zoom in on the dial you can se other wise

I thought the Movements were all made in Japan but some watches are assembled in Malaysia and Singapore besides Japan. To my knowledge there is no performance difference between the K, P and J models. Personally, J models will always be my preferred buy.

Mr Chaibill,
You should be able to find the J models if you google the net. I see a few of them at several online stores as well as ebay. You could enquire from Discount-Watches if they are able to source these models for you too.
All the best.

Thanks KW, I was having a brain fart when I posted that. I have no doubts about my “monster”. I wish I could wear it to work but as a cabinet maker working on machines I would put it and myself at risk. I stare at it all the time! PS. My wife just told me that a teacher she works with, her husband collects watches. I’ll let him know about “The WTF”. Kevin
