Eco drives are very reliable. My mom and wife have 'em (gifts from me) and have no complaints.

Welcome to our little family Tinman! Shouldn't it be Tinwoman? It is a pleasure to have you here and hope you visit and post often! Any other Asian or Japanese watches in your collection?

The perpetual calendar feature is a perfect fit for the Eco-Drive movement.
A perpetual calendar is a complication that keeps track of how many days are in a month, and which month the watch is currently on. Some even have moonphases, day of week complications, or factor in leap years. The advantage of a perpetual calendar is that you'll never have to reset the date wheel on your watch when there are less than 31 days a month, because it automatically does that for you.
I have one Citizen Eco-Drive, and it has a power reserve of 180 days. It has never stopped on me in the 14 months that I have owned the watch (during which, I stuck the watch in a dark closet for 2 months and the Wonder just kept on ticking. I've read somewhere that an Eco-Drive battery could operate for 20 years without replacement. Combine the near-perpetual power reserve, and the fact that your watch won't need date adjusting or battery replacement for 20 years, and I say you've come to own one of the most convenient and low-maintenance watches in modern production.
Enjoy it for years to come!

Hello tinman, welcome to this forum! I hope I may quote knight watchman: „When it comes two quartz watches with complications, Citizen is among the best out there“. He is absolutely right. I own four eco drives. Citizen offers good quality for a reasonable price. Many complications realised mechanical are way too expensive (such as a minute repeater), but in an (Eco Drive) quartz watch from that corporation they get into the reach of almost everyone. The watches look good and feel good on my wrist so I am happy them! Regards, muttenstrudel

I am looking at getting one too. But there's not much information out there about them sadly. The one I am looking at is the BM6400-51E, which is a 200m WR model with a dial remnicient of the Fortis Marine Master. It doesnt have a bezel though but neat looking watch.

Well I have a Titanium Eco (diver I guess) 200M, unidirectional Bezel, Day-Date. I really liked it when my dad got one to replace his 12 year old Seiko and I had alreay bought my wife two different Eco-Drives...however I haven't had mine a year yet and the face rattles around in the case...sad thing is I haven't worn it that much although I like it I think I'll return it and get my money back.
