My pal just brought me his Seiko Sports 100 with day/date (used to be his dad's watch) and asked me if it's worth fixing. Poor guy thinks I'm a watch guru since I've infected him with the disease. Little does he know how much I don't know..... (He's shopping for his first automatic, thanks to me. With a saphire crystal, of course!!!!/lol) I have no idea what's wrong with the Seiko (could just be the battery), but I also don't know a thing about this watch. It's pretty beat up the crystal (mineral I'd guess) is pretty scratched. Is this a keeper or a junker? Can anyone help me out on this? Thanks in advance.

Only on a guess,my opinion would be forget it and move on. Seiko watches can be bought for a song and I think the repairs might out way purchase price. Obviously if he has a particular sentiment to the watch it might be a different story. Aaron
